The Conscious Edit exists to inspire towards a conscious lifestyle focusing on slow living and conscious consumption. A place and platform for reflection on what might need to change to make the world a bit better but also an outlet for thoughts and ideas on how to create positive impact for ourselves as well as others.
Whilst consumption is making the world go ’round it’s also draining the world of its resources, which is increasingly becoming a massive problem as we continue to over consumer in the Western world. A key issue is also how little we actually know about the products we buy, who made them and what impact the production of them has had on society and the environment.
The Conscious Edit highlights the great people doing great things to promote ethical and sustainable fashion, green living, conscious shopping, eco-friendly design, social enterprises, and all those things that help us make more conscious decisions.
There isn’t one set way of living sustainably and we all have different principles and opportunities allowing us to do so. We should therefore aim to find a way that suits us, our bodies, our families, the way we’re currently living and the way we want to be living. The Conscious Edit exists to help you find your way towards a more conscious lifestyle that is better for you, our planet and the people living here. It’s written by Tove Nordström, a Swede living back in Stockholm after 13 years in London, with a passion for sustainable economies and cities, social entrepreneurship, comfortable but stylish fashion, Scandinavian design, and equality. Here‘s a blog post with more info and thoughts on this conscious journey.

The products mentioned on the blog are either on my wish list (which means they haven’t been tried and tested) or they’re a personal recommendation based on my own positive experience. If a company has provided products for testing they’re marked with a * but will only be featured if they follow the ethics of the blog and if I like them (or not, in which case this will be stated).
All photos are by Tove Nordström unless stated otherwise.
